Sister Alyssa Johnson: MTC - Day 1

Ok so I made it to the MTC and I love it here! I slept so good last night which was surprising. I got my stuff and while I was walking to my residence, someone yelled "Sister Johnson" and it was Ethan Parr! So crazy and I am so happy I got to see one of my best friends from BYU Idaho!

Then I went to class and holy cow they really don't speak ANY English, so WOW! I walked in and didn't understand anything. BUT I WAS ASKED TO SAY A PRAYER IN CHINESE. SO YES MY FIRST DAY I SAID A PRAYER IN CHINESE. HOLY COW. IT WAS HORRIBLE AND SOUNDED SO BAD WITH MY TONES AND PRONUNCIATION... BUT I DID IT. SO EXCITING!

Um, the food here is kinda gross, so I'm praying a lot that I will like it because I need to eat. Also we eat dinner at 4:15!!! Like what the early!!! So, please send granola bars and things like that to eat. Thanks!

I am loving it here. I was so scared the first day because I really don't understand what is going on, but my district and zone are simply AMAZING!!! We are going to have fun together and learn so much.

ALSO I DIDNT TELL YOU MY COMPANION IS SISTER CAHOON!! THE ONE FROM ALPINE!!! I AM SOOO HAPPY! SHE IS SO NICE AND ALREADY A HUGE BLESSING. I LOVE HER.

We are sharing a room with 6 girls and it is soooo crowded. There is no room in there and it's mad, mad, mad. But we love each other and its awesome.

So far, I have seen Elder Pflueger and Sister Bean and ahhh, it's so fun!!! I love seeing people I know.

Wow I miss you guys a lot!! But I am so busy so it's good. During a lesson today I felt the spirit so strong telling me how happy I'll be here at the MTC and that I am supposed to be here. So glad!! But yeah, days here are 3482048392483 years long! Not sure I was ready for it, but I do love it. Oh my gosh, how I do love it here. There is such a special spirit here and its amazing. Also Mandarin is going to come, I know it.

"Wo ai tian fu." I love Heavenly Father. that is all I really know how to say but its awesome and I say it all the time...lol.

My p-day is Wednesday. so I'll email then and send pictures. You can send emails anytime and I can read them anytime throughout the week but I can't respond, so please tell me how it's going at home. Also, I'm praying for President Peterson!!

Well, I love you guys so don't worry about me! I love it here. It's such a special place. I love my name tag. It's awesome!!
